“hello!

i don’t know how to start this note but this is my first quilting endeavor. i’ve wanted to quilt for a while and have been reading & crying about historical quilt making for several years. my roomate helped me pick the friendship star pattern. the center fabric is from the last *girly* dress that i loved & felt comfortable in surrounded by the fabric from the first pants i felt good in a masc-gender presentation in - inheriated from my grandmother when she passed away when i was 16. i love how my childhood gender both is wrapped by the symbols of my adult gender and and reaches out to the edges and i love that i carried my nana into this project.

thanks for organizing this! it was very fun dipping my toes into another fiber art.
