“I hand-stitched this together before I got a sewing machine, so I hope it holds up in the quilt! All of the fabric & thread came from my great-grandma’s stash. It was give to me from my grandma. I don’t know what they would’ve said about my queerness, they passed away before I came out. I like using their materials though & think sewing would’ve brought us together anyways. This block represents the queer journey & how different it is for every person.
