“Hi El!

Thank you so much for doing this project, it has been beautiful to see so many amazing squares being made, and it has really motivated one to think about actually making a quilt after about 4 years of debating it and thinking. It would be too big of a project for me.. but making this square opened up some ideas and possibilities so i’m very grateful for that!

About the fairy ~ in my art I use fairies as a symbol of queerness and tender lovin’! As I was cutting out the pieces for this guy, I realized subconsciously chose the colors of the trans flag, which is obviously fitting. As a non-binary human I feel like this fairy is a representation of myself~ forever floating with emotions, no hair because hair can mean a lot in society, and lil hearts on the boobs’ that I try to love but also can’t stand… thank you again! I’m so excited to see the finished quilt
