Description from maker

Gender Expansive Joy (self-given title)

I have always found blue and yellow to be the most joyful color combination and so I knew from the outset that my block would have both of those colors together. I knew that roots and the idea of rootedness would play a prominent role in this block, as roots do in most of my work. I also wanted a combination of straight lines and fluid lines and I knew I wanted to incorporate some cyanotype prints!; It was a very fluid process, very playful, very intuitive, and it felt like I was able to express my experience of gender expansive joy!
