Description from maker

I picked improv piecing because I believe letting the block "tell" me what it wanted to become was consistent with the gender and identity journeys that are so vital to life.; I read over them quickly several days before but I didn't have them top of mind. I was glad to have a jumping off point. ; I wanted to make sure that any fabric I used was from a creator/designer who was clearly, openly, proudly in support of the gender affirmation which is why I decided on Libs.; I am the partner to a genderqueer person who is using this mid-life portion of her time to finally discover how that is true and how she'd like that to show up. She's comfortable with her AFAB pronouns but her presentation and such are evolving as she is finally safe to explore. It was important to me to participate because she's also a quilter, she's not able to participate on her own right now, and because I love this community.
