“Hi Eliot!

Thank you for organizing this quilt project! I have been wanting to organize my own + it’s exciting to see group quilting taking off.

My block is made from denim + other fabric scraps, saved from friends + clothing waste, stitched together a bit haphazardly, as a way to represent + honor the way we for queer + trans community. I find I am most joyous + euphoric in my transness when in the company of the people who have been with me all along my trans journey + wanted to share a piece of them in the block. Also, I thought the zippers as top scars were fun and made me take the first step in getting top surgery!
