“I had alot of ideas and plans to try different patterns but ended up just making my own design inspired by the log cabin block. The fabric is scraps from a natural dye class I took and includes woad, logwood, and a mystery orange square. Making this square felt a lot like navigating my relationship to my gender — I started with an idea of what I “should” do, and then I just decided to make it up as I went along.”
