Description from maker

I thought more about comfort than joy, and about the creation of self being like the creation of a quilt like this one; I knew I wanted to use a bra that no longer fits after reduction surgery. I like that its color approximates but would never match white flesh.; I wanted to be improvisational but have structure too.

Turquoise and light blue pieced fabric on the right side of the block, pieced with a gentle wave edge to the left side. The right blue side has an appliqued grey butterfly with black embroidered details. The left side has vibrant pastel floral fabric.
