Description from maker

For Nelli (self-given title); Making this block was more about process than guiding questions. I love sewing but find it difficult because of the amount of precision that can be involved. This block was my first attempt at improv piecing and I found it to be really liberating. I tried to think of it more like painting or collage and really let myself play.

Visual description

An improvised composition made up of lavender, mint, pink, red, black, and white. The fabric used is mostly solids, with some floral and checkered prints. The composition is a combination of checkers and triangular patterns called Flying Geese.
