Description from maker
I chose pieces of fabric that I had a sentimental connection with whilst also choosing a muted trans flag palette. I made it completely improv freehand with no iron and sitting in bed, so it's not an exact 12.5" on all sides. It was very fun to daydream about how it might be placed in the finished quilt. Thank you for doing this amazing historical project! I am more into quilting than piecing blocks, so in the future if you need a hand quilter I'd be happy to show you some of my work!
Visual description
A composition of irregular rectangles arranged in a concentric pattern. The colors used include shades of grey-blue, grey, and coral, with a variety of textures and patterns such as tie-dye, solids, and a small heart print. The center-most square is coral, and there is a small coral and grey pinwheel block in one of the upper central rectangles.
