sidewalk flowers (self given title)

I definitely thought about my relationship to queerness and transes in creating this square. The thing that makes me the most grateful to be trans is the imaginative and creative power inherent in being trans. I’m so happy to be making choice for myself, and relationships that are based on desires and need I’ve put a lot of thought into instead of making choices in a compulsive way. I think the blooming flowers springing through chain links feels a lot like that!; I’ve done a lot of flowers-peaking-through-fencing tattoo flash based on the unruly sidewalk flowers in my neighborhood and this felt like a fun iteration of that imagery in a new medium:)
