Description from maker

I picked this pattern because it uses straight lines to create the illusion of curves. Gender is so much about construction and illusion, and a pattern that has a different effect up close than it does from far away or that presents a different effect in community than alone aligns with how our genders are amplified, refracted, and clarified/obfuscated in relationships. Though I started with a pattern, I deviated and moved forward using intuition. I also didn't pin anything, choosing instead to sew without those supports. I find it more fun to sew that way, and wanted to capture the variation from letting pleasure lead the way.
